Department of Municipal Affairs– Abu Dhabi Municipality

 

Since 1966 the Department of Municipal Affairs (Abu Dhabi Municipality) took wide steps towards progress and is looking forward to putting the base of development of this great Nation through fruitful steps through the efforts made by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan and led by H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the UAE, and by support of H.H. Sheikh Mohammad  bin Zayed AL Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi.

By assigning  the Department of Municipal Affairs - Abu Dhabi Municipality to supervise the execution of the project of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed city in Rafah, H. H. expressed his trust in this department and was based on its previous experience in similar projects inside and outside the UAE. Under the control of the Municipality, Abu Dhabi city witnessed rapid expansion in a short time the rate of which has not been seen in any other part of the world. This was accompanied by a great expansion in the tasks and functions of the municipality.

His trust extended to include assigning the department to execute many other charity projects in the world including:

  1. Project of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed city in Cairo, ARE, with cost of $100.000.000.
  2. Project of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed hospital in Casablanca , Morocco , with cost of $100.000.000.
  3. Project of building hospitals in regions inflicted with earthquakes (Muzaffar Abad, capital of Azad, Kashmir, and another project in Rawlat Cot city) with cost of $100.000.000.
  4. Project of building a hospital in Kazakhstan with cost of $100.000.000.
  5. Project of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed hospital in Aleppo, Syria, with cost of  $100.000.000.
  6. Project of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed hospital in Islam Abad, Pakistan, with cost of  $100.000.000.
